YIPEE/EPIC Night Out at the Symphony
Friday, November 18, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM (PST)
Palo Alto, CA
YIPEE, EPIC and the Peninsula Symphony are teaming up to provide you with a night to remember. Start your holiday season off right by attending this elegant affair!
Join us for a truly special night on the town. Take advantage of this opportunity to wear that outfit you've been dying to show off as you spend a night socializing with young professionals and attending a festive concert.
The night will begin with a pre-concert mixer at Ming's Chinese restaurant in Palo Alto from 6-7:30 PM. Meet us there as they provide food and a cash bar. In addition to great food and drinks, there will be an exclusive meet and greet with the musicians and Assistant Conductor of the Peninsula Symphony. After mingling with talented artists and peers, a private bus will whisk us off to see the Peninsula Symphony's special Holiday Concert at the Stanford Memorial Church. The 2011 Holiday Concert is an early Christmas gift, filled with glorious seasonal music in a magnificent setting.
Program is as follows:
Ron Miller: Illuminations
Brian Holmes: Come Christmas (World Premiere)
Philip Lane: Wassail Dances
Vaughan Williams: Fantasia on Christmas Carols
Rutter: "Blow, blow, thou winter wind" and "Good Ale"
Stanford Symphonic Chorus, Stephen M. Sano, Music Director
This event sold out early last year, and we only have 50 tickets available.
